History

Hartecs Group, established in 2012 in Central Queensland, owes its sustained growth to two fundamental values: being people-centric and client-focused. With humble beginnings and only one employee, the company has now grown to boast a team of 50 dedicated professionals.

Geddes Ruka

Associate Project Manager

Geddes is a highly experienced Site Engineer with more than 14 years of experience delivering civil infrastructure, pavement, transport and construction projects across Australia and New Zealand. He brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to project delivery, with extensive expertise in site supervision, quality assurance, contractor management and project coordination.

Throughout his career, Geddes has successfully managed projects ranging from $500,000 to $3.5 million, leading multidisciplinary teams, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with client requirements. His strong technical knowledge, combined with his hands-on construction experience, enables him to effectively bridge the gap between design intent and on-site execution.

Geddes has developed a reputation for building strong relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and operational performance. His experience spans pavement construction, civil infrastructure, traffic systems and asset maintenance projects, where he has consistently demonstrated leadership, problem-solving and project delivery capabilities.

Cameron Gunning

Associate Civil Engineer

Cameron is a Civil Project Engineer and Construction Manager with extensive experience delivering complex civil infrastructure, energy and resource sector projects across Australia.

With a background spanning civil construction, transport infrastructure, utilities, pipeline projects and defence-related works, Cameron has successfully managed multidisciplinary teams and coordinated the delivery of projects ranging from major public infrastructure through to large-scale resource sector developments. His expertise includes project management, construction delivery, procurement, quality assurance, stakeholder engagement and contract administration.

Cameron is recognised for his practical approach, strong technical knowledge and ability to lead project teams to achieve safe, efficient and high-quality outcomes. He is committed to building strong client relationships and delivering projects that meet both operational and commercial objectives.

Joanne Downey

Project Administrator, Bids & Tenders Manager 

Joanne Downey is a Business Support Administrator at Hartecs Group, providing administrative and operational support across a range of projects and business functions.

With extensive experience across local government, infrastructure projects and private industry, Joanne brings a strong background in administration, project coordination and stakeholder communication. She is highly organised and committed to delivering efficient and professional support while ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly.

Joanne’s experience includes project administration, accounts support, onboarding coordination, travel management, reporting and stakeholder liaison. Her adaptable and proactive approach allows her to effectively support both project teams and broader business operations across the organisation.

Sophie Young

Talent Acquisition & People & Culture Coordinator

Sophie Young, Talent Acquisition & People & Culture Coordinator at Hartecs Group, supports the business across recruitment, onboarding, administration and employee engagement functions.

With a background in psychology and family services, Sophie brings strong communication, relationship-building and organisational skills to the team. Her experience working in high-pressure environments has developed her ability to manage sensitive matters professionally while supporting positive outcomes for both staff and the wider business.

Sophie assists with a range of People & Culture operations including recruitment coordination, HR administration, employee documentation and internal processes, helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations across the organisation.

Joel Herbert

Senior Inspector

Joel is an experienced Structures Inspector with more than 20 years’ experience delivering civil and structural infrastructure projects across Queensland. With a strong background in bridge construction, earthworks, and site supervision, he brings practical construction knowledge together with a strong focus on quality, safety, and compliance. Joel works closely with contractors, clients, and delivery teams to monitor works, verify outcomes, and support efficient project delivery. 

Known for his collaborative approach and strong technical understanding, he contributes to the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects from construction through to completion.

Greg Covington

Senior Inspector

Greg Covington is a Senior Civil Inspector at Hartecs Group with more than 35 years of experience delivering major civil construction and infrastructure projects across Queensland.

Greg has extensive expertise in roadworks, bridge construction, drainage systems, pavement rehabilitation and large-scale transport infrastructure projects within both government and private sectors. Throughout his career, he has worked across a broad range of complex projects, providing technical oversight, quality assurance, contract surveillance and construction support.

Known for his practical knowledge, leadership and attention to detail, Greg brings a strong commitment to safety, compliance and project delivery. He also has significant experience mentoring junior engineers and inspectors, supporting the development of high-performing project teams across the industry.

Jeandre Jubelius

Associate Project Manager

Jeandré is a highly experienced Project Manager and Senior Civil Designer with a strong background in civil engineering, infrastructure delivery, and construction management. 

With expertise spanning project planning, tendering, stakeholder engagement, and on-site delivery, he brings a practical and solutions-focused approach to complex infrastructure projects. Jeandré has extensive experience working with municipal and developer clients, combining technical design capability with strong financial and programme management skills to achieve successful outcomes.

Sampath Bandara

Senior Structural Engineer, RPEQ, CPEng, MIEAust, NER

Sampath is a Chartered and Registered Structural/Civil Engineer with more than 20 years’ international and Australian experience delivering complex infrastructure projects across transport, buildings, water, industrial and energy sectors. He brings strong technical expertise in structural design, construction supervision, and forensic engineering, supporting projects from concept through to detailed design and delivery. 

Sampath has led multidisciplinary teams on major infrastructure and development projects, combining advanced analytical capability with a strong focus on quality, safety, and compliance with Australian Standards. 

Known for his collaborative approach and technical leadership, he contributes practical, solutions-focused outcomes across the full project lifecycle.

Jacques Le Roux

Senior Structural Engineer, RPEQ, CPEng, MIEAust, NER

Jacques is an RPEQ Engineer, bringing over 12 years of local and international experience to the delivery of high-performing structural solutions. Originally from South Africa, Jacques combines global expertise with a deep understanding of Australian standards and construction practices.

Beginning his career in site-based roles, Jacques gained valuable hands-on experience that continues to shape his design philosophy today — creating innovative, efficient structures that are not only technically robust but also practical to build. His broad technical expertise spans structural design, quality assurance, site inspections and condition assessments across steel, concrete and timber structures.

Known for his collaborative approach and strong communication skills, Jacques works closely with clients, consultants and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget. His ability to balance technical excellence with commercial awareness has resulted in a strong track record of successful projects and long-standing client relationships.

Jacques has delivered structural solutions across a diverse range of sectors, including commercial and industrial developments, retail, food and meat processing facilities, education and healthcare projects, mining and petrochemical facilities, renewable energy projects, high-voltage electrical substations and civil infrastructure works.

Sarah Cranitch

Project Administrator

Sarah is an experienced Administration Officer who takes pride in keeping things organised, on track, and running smoothly. With over 10 years’ experience supporting leaders and teams within the earthmoving, manufacturing and legal sectors, she’s known for her positive attitude, attention to detail, and friendly, can-do approach.

 

Sarah brings skills in executive support, meeting coordination, compliance, and office management. She enjoys working as part of a fun, dynamic team.

 

Having recently moved from Toowoomba to the Sunny Coast, Sarah’s enjoying the sea change.  

Karthik Jella

Associate Civil Engineer

Karthik is a detail-oriented and results-driven civil project engineer with experience in the delivery of earthworks, rail formations, and asphalt engineering projects. His expertise spans project planning, execution, and leadership, with a strong focus on achieving quality outcomes within time and budget.

He has played a key role in managing cross-functional teams, coordinating design execution, and ensuring adherence to engineering standards and specifications. Karthik brings contemporary knowledge of engineering methods and technologies to every project, supporting innovative and efficient delivery.

 

Known for his collaborative approach and ability to drive results, Karthik is committed to delivering practical, high-performing infrastructure solutions that meet client needs and project goals.

Stanford Tanekha

Associate Principal Civil Engineer

Stanford is a highly experienced civil engineer with a proven track record in the delivery of road and bridge infrastructure projects. His expertise includes road construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance across a broad scope of work—covering earthworks, drainage, electrical systems, intelligent transport systems (ITS), landscaping, urban design, surfacing, pavements, bridges, and other structures.

He has successfully managed numerous contracts for the Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR), ensuring projects were delivered in line with TMR standards, specifications, and contract conditions—consistently achieving outcomes within time and budget. Stanford has worked closely with international engineering consultancies and construction firms, overseeing both preconstruction and delivery phases of complex transport infrastructure projects.

Beyond his work in Australia, Stanford served as a technical advisor to the Government of Vanuatu’s Public Works Department. In this role, he supported the design and planning of Annual Work Plans for road maintenance, guided the implementation of construction activities, and mentored PWD staff in contract administration, project management, and constructability best practices.

Rozi Lehoczky

Draftsperson

Rozi is an Associate Draftsperson with over 6.5 years of experience in the construction and engineering sectors. Specializing in structural drafting, modelling and design, her expertise covers a diverse array of projects, including bridges, stormwater structures, residential developments, buildings, and other civil infrastructure.

Proficient in industry-standard software such as Revit, Civil3D, and BIM360/ACC, Rozi also has experience with visualization and rendering tools, including Enscape. She is dedicated to ongoing professional growth, continuously refining her skills and developing innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes. Her technical proficiency in concrete detailing, reinforcement, and steel design contributes to the seamless execution and precision of structural projects.

Originally from Hungary, Rozi migrated to Australia with her family in 2007 and now calls the Sunshine Coast home. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys painting, drawing, and exploring both Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast region.

Joe Menkens

Principal Project Manager

Joe is an experienced Principal Project Manager located in the Sunshine Coast region, bringing over 21 years of expertise in the building and construction industry. His diverse design experience encompasses commercial developments, bridge replacements, civil infrastructure, multi-residential projects, aged care facilities, and community living initiatives.

Joe excels in adopting a collaborative approach from the initial stages of project inception and evaluation, allowing him to deliver customized solutions that enhance civil, structural, and building services throughout the construction process. He heads the Asset and Infrastructure division, overseeing operations across Rockhampton, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, and regional SEQ sectors.

His key responsibilities include design reviews, client relationship management, hold-point inspections, asset management, dilapidation surveys, and coordinating sub-consultant engagements. Known for his adaptability, Joe has forged strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including regional councils and private sector clients. His extensive secondments and engagements have equipped him to tailor schemes and plans to meet specific client needs and expectations. Joe is dedicated to being readily accessible to clients and seizes opportunities to contribute at every stage of the design and construction process. 

In his downtime, Joe enjoys landscaping, live music, and sporting events with his family.     

Tashina Banzuela

Document Controller

Tashina is an aspiring engineer with hands-on experience in civil, mining, and geotechnical engineering for about 4 years. Currently pursuing an Associate Degree of Engineering at Southern Cross University. She is passionate about delivering high-quality engineering solutions and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

 

She has worked as an Undergraduate Engineer at a Construction Company, gaining experience in quality assurance, site inspections, data analysis, and stakeholder communication. In addition, her previous roles as a Technical Administrator at another Engineering Company and as an Administrator at a finance company have strengthened her expertise in project planning, data management, and client relations.

 

She thrives in fast-paced environments, excel at problem-solving, and is highly adaptable to new challenges. Her key skills include project management, leadership, critical thinking, and effective communication—all of which drive her commitment to engineering excellence.

She is always eager to learn, grow, and contribute to projects that shape the future of infrastructure and sustainability.

 

Her goal is to finish her associate degree and gain hands-on experience and work towards becoming a project manager and work towards becoming a chartered engineer (CPEng) or obtaining RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland) to enhance her qualifications.

Brett Watkins

Head of Portfolio Development / General Manager, Engineering Services

Brett Watkins joined Hartecs in 2025 as Acting General Manager, Engineering Services and Head of Portfolio Development bringing over 30 years of expertise in construction, engineering, environmental science, and law. With a proven track record in managing major infrastructure projects across Australia, Brett possesses a multidisciplinary skill set that drives innovative and sustainable solutions to complex challenges.

Throughout his career, Brett has collaborated with leading contractors and organisations to successfully deliver critical infrastructure projects. His experience spans the entire project lifecycle—from concept, design, and planning to execution and handover—all while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

 

Brett has a deep understanding of the many key areas that contribute to successful project delivery, including contract management, claims management, planning, stakeholder engagement, risk management, resource allocation, and operational efficiency. His expertise encompasses a diverse range of sectors, including rail, road, tunnels, water, mining, gas, and building.

 

With a strong foundation in law (Construction, Planning and Environmental), environmental science, and engineering, Brett ensures sustainability and regulatory compliance are integral to every project. His extensive experience in contract and claims management enables him to navigate complex agreements, resolve disputes, and protect client interests while maintaining positive project momentum.

 

Brett’s expertise extends to navigating complex and challenging regulatory and development conditions. He ensures projects meet stringent compliance requirements while optimizing outcomes for clients. His ability to interpret and manage regulatory frameworks, combined with strategic foresight, allows him to identify opportunities and mitigate risks, delivering best-in-class solutions tailored to client needs.

Anthony Wells

Associate – Civil Supervisor/Inspector

With over 19 years of experience in roadworks, civil construction, and infrastructure projects, Anthony has established himself as a leading professional in the field. Anthony brings expertise in managing large-scale projects, including road safety upgrades, bridge replacements, and flood restoration works. Anthony’s qualifications include a Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision and Work Health and Safety, as well as advanced certifications in traffic management, aviation (remote piloting), and various heavy machinery operations. He is highly skilled in project management, team leadership, stakeholder engagement, and quality assurance, with a thorough understanding of TMR specifications and industry standards.

 

Throughout his career, Anthony has successfully worked on large scale projects, including the Bruce Highway Safety Upgrade. His proactive approach, meticulous attention to detail, and commitment to safety make him a trusted leader in the construction industry.

 

In addition to his professional achievements, Anthony is actively involved in his community as a Scout Leader. When not on-site, he enjoys photography, drone flying, and outdoor adventures with his family.

Darren Brisbin

Associate Principal – Inspector

Darren has been involved in the civil construction and infrastructure sectors for approximately 39 years. His experience spans various facets of managing construction of minor structures and large-scale earthworks foundations and roadworks in both Greenfields and brownfields environments, Project Tender Value Estimating, managing contractual requirements, cost management and business planning. His ability to liaise with Principal/Superintendent/Directors and Project staff ensures that management plans are followed in accordance with what specifications has been approved by the client.

Darren’s journey began in construction delivery with Road-Tek/Department of Transport then later progressed into contract construction under various formats, including Lump Sum, Schedule of Rates, ECI and Alliance projects

Darren has been with Hartecs for almost 8 years, mainly in a contract Senior Inspector role engaged with both TMR and other government departments

Darren endeavours to mentor and pass on his knowledge to up and coming personal.

Matthew McLean

Associate – Site Engineer

Matthew is a well-rounded and experienced Civil Engineer, with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours Class I) from the University of Queensland, and is a qualified Open TMD for Temporary Traffic Management Design

 

With over 9 years in Civil Construction, he has a wide range of knowledge in areas of road and bridge construction, as well as marine engineering and rail construction. He has experience working with many regional council and TMR districts, in both Construction Contracting and Contract Administration Services. Matthew is a key team member at Hartecs, who thrives on the challenge of complex projects, such as the $200 million Walkerston Bypass where he currently works for the Department of Transport and Main Roads. His current role is performing senior engineering responsibilities, such as managing claims, quality assurance and contract administration duties.

 

He is driven to deliver the highest quality of work for all his clients, and build good relationships with all of the project team members, from workers and labourers through to Senior Administrators and Client Representatives. His collaborative approach to problem solving allows him to provide unique and innovative solutions.

 

Outside of work, Matthew enjoys Cricket and AFL, and gardening around the house.

Roger Uridge

Quality Manager / Civil Inspector

With an impressive 46-year career in the civil construction industry, Roger brings a wealth of expertise and a commitment to excellence in infrastructure development.

Rogers diverse experience includes:

  • 23 years in soil testing, ensuring foundational integrity for major projects.
  • 2 years as a Roadworks Supervisor, overseeing critical operational aspects.
  • 14 years in Quality Assurance, driving compliance and high standards.
  • 7 years as a Civil Roadworks Inspector, providing detailed assessments and insights.

Throughout his career, Roger has contributed to a range of road, bridge, and infrastructure projects across Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory. For the past six years, he has been a vital part of Hartecs, delivering surveillance and verification services to ensure technical and quality compliance for projects in the Rockhampton and Mackay districts.

Roger is a valued member of the Contract Administration and Verification (CAVS) team, working as an Inspector on the Walkerston Bypass project in Mackay. His dedication to upholding quality and precision continues to make him an essential contributor to the success of significant infrastructure projects.

Vivian Rusly

Associate Civil Engineer

Vivian is an Associate Civil Engineer with 4 years of experience in the field of civil engineering predominantly working on civil infrastructure, subdivisional works, and commercial site works for the government and private sector.  Her primary skills are in design, drafting/documenting, QC & reporting, quantifying and estimating, PM & CA support. She is highly passionate about civil and structural design components in urban development and infrastructure planning.

 

Viv has assisted senior civil engineers and designers in producing detailed engineering report, proposals and high-quality drawing sets for submission. Highly skilled in using AutoCAD / Civil 3D and proficient in using design software such as 12d design, Trimble, Spacegass, and SIDRA. In addition to her existing work Viv has also recently assisted  our Contracts Administration and Verification (CAVS) team for the Bruce Highway Wide Centreline Project in Gentle Annie and the Walkerston Bypass for engineering and CA support.

 

Her objective is to gain technical experience as a civil engineer and working towards becoming an RPEQ. Viv enjoys working collaboratively in a team and is always eager and keen to learn from senior designers and engineers.

Maw Hein

Associate Civil Engineer, RPEQ, CPEng

Maw is a passionate and highly skilled Civil Engineer, holding both Chartered Professional Engineering Status and RPEQ, which underscores his commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards in his work. With extensive experience in civil infrastructure, rail, subdivision, renewable energy, and project management, he has developed a well-rounded expertise that spans the full project lifecycle—from planning and preconstruction to design management and construction execution.

Maw’s career has provided him with valuable exposure to government, contractor, and consultant-side roles, which has enriched his ability to view challenges and opportunities from multiple perspectives. This diverse experience has allowed him to navigate complex projects with confidence, ensuring efficient problem-solving and innovative solutions. Throughout his career, he has successfully managed a range of projects for local, state, and federal governments, always with an emphasis on excellence and delivering value to stakeholders.

He is not only a proficient engineer but also a passionate advocate for the civil engineering profession. His enthusiasm for creating lasting infrastructure that benefits communities and his drive for excellence in every aspect of his work have shaped his successful career. With a deep commitment to sustainable development, Maw continues to strive towards delivering innovative solutions that leave a positive impact on the environment and society.

Suzie Stitt

Head of People & Culture

Suzie is a seasoned and passionate People and Culture specialist with extensive expertise in managing end-to-end HR functions across diverse industries, including Engineering, Mining, Government, Aged Care, and Road Construction. Shayne Fry

Civil Supervisor / Inspector

Shayne is a seasoned Civil Inspector with extensive experience in managing and overseeing diverse construction projects, ensuring strict adherence to safety standards, specifications, codes, and regulations. With a strong foundation in construction processes and industry best practices, Shayne excels in conducting detailed site inspections, meticulously reviewing plans, and collaborating effectively with contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders.

Known for his keen eye for detail and proactive approach, Shayne plays a pivotal role in maintaining quality control, identifying potential issues early, and implementing solutions to keep projects on track. Shayne’s expertise spans all phases of construction, from initial groundwork to final inspections, ensuring every aspect aligns with project goals and compliance requirements.

Samantha Wilson

Senior Designer

Sam has over 10 years of experience in civil design within local & state government as well as the private sector, specialising in creating practical, efficient, and cost-effective designs for a variety of infrastructure projects, including roadways, subdivisions, public infrastructure, and site developments. She have a solid background in using design software and a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction practices.

She enjoys collaborating with engineering teams to turn complex ideas into detailed, workable designs that meet both client needs and industry standards. She is passionate about making a positive impact through thoughtful design and always strives to balance innovation with practicality in every project she takes on.

Outside of the office, Sam enjoys spending time with her young family, travelling, outdoor adventures & renovating.

Barry Kearney

Principal Engineer, RPEQ, CPEng, MIEAust, NER, APEC Engineer, IntPE(Aus)

Barry is an RPEQ Engineer / Project Manager with extensive local and international experience. During his 18 year career Barry has acted both as client and consultant having the ability to understand project needs from multiple perspectives. 

Whilst Barry believes in quality design and the delivery of innovative solutions, he acknowledges that this is achieved by open, honest and constant communication with all parties. Barry’s ‘no surprises’ mantra ensures that projects are delivered on time and on budget. He has extensive experience with all facets of project management, QA, site inspection and authority liaison.

  • Affinity, 900 lot residential sub-division Morayfield.

Doug Bergman

Principal Project Manager

Doug is a seasoned Principal Project Manager with over 20 years of experience leading complex projects across many diverse industries including education, civil and roads infrastructure, mining and more. Known for a results-driven approach, he excels in managing cross-functional teams, driving process improvements, and delivering projects on time and within budget. With expertise in all aspects of project management, Doug combines technical proficiency with strong leadership to deliver high-impact solutions that support organisational growth.

 

Throughout his career, Doug has successfully managed university refurbishments, mining infrastructure, bulk raw water and treated water supply projects, road construction, electrical substation construction, municipal sewer and water projects, landfill resource recovery projects, landfill expansion and capping projects – working with clients to align objectives, mitigate risks, and achieve sustainable results. His passion for problem-solving, combined with a deep understanding of project management allows Doug to consistently drive value and exceed client expectations.

 

When not managing projects, Doug enjoys motorcycling and is committed to raising money for worthy causes.

Alex Thompson

Associate Principal Planner

Alex is passionate about improving the way we live our lives through effective transport planning. He strives to deliver solutions that are people focused, providing a platform for equity, a better quality of life and reduced environmental impact.

 

A Senior and Registered Transport Planner with 7 years’ experience for both private and public sector organisations in the transport industry, Alex specialises in active and public transport planning, of which he is an avid advocate for. He has a broad range of experience having worked on several strategies, programs, workplace travel plans and has provided transport planning services for major development and infrastructure projects during feasibility, concept and detailed design stages in Queensland and across Australia.

 

Alex has strong competencies in delivering high-quality reports, is adept in conveying complex information in a concise and clear format for a range of stakeholders and is proficient in the use of a range of Geographic Information Systems

Brett Nicholls

Principal Project Manager

Brett is passionate about delivering pragmatic land outcomes through a holistic project delivery approach, from master planning then staged delivery working from the whole to the part. Brett is outcomes focused to deliver projects with community and stakeholder engagement on time, to scope and on budget, then reviews results for continuous improvement. Brett enthusiastically facilitates the planning, designing and delivery of projects from ‘cradle to grave’ while considering ‘whole of life’ costs. He has well-developed people skills to achieve outcomes through empowerment and the provision of clear vision and direction in a safety conscious environment.

 

With over 40 years of practical experience, Brett is a highly qualified land management professional with a demonstrated history of delivering results in various levels of government and the private sector. He plans, acquires, manages and disposes of lands including native title and cultural heritage considerations along with landholder and community engagement. Brett investigates, prepares and presents well-articulated reports to State Ministers, Boards and Councils.

 

Brett enjoys keeping fit, community service and spending quality time with his family. He has a keen automotive interest and enjoys performing home improvements when not traveling.

Leigh Smith

Senior Civil Engineer

Leigh’s passion is fueled by building better roads for local communities that leave a legacy. Leigh is dedicated to and implementing innovative construction techniques that improve project outcomes and is motivated by communicating and collaborating with different teams to deliver transport infrastructure projects.

 

Leigh is an experienced engineer and project manager with 15 years’ experience in civil and structural, specialising in Transport Infrastructure Contracts managing projects from concept through to finalisation. Leigh has fulfilled critical roles to deliver some of the region’s most significant projects such as the Rockhampton Ring Road (Bruce Highway), Gracemere Industrial Access Project (GIAP), Yeppen North Project and the NDRRA Project (Bruce Highway). Leigh brings substantial experience in construction of roads over subgrades of poor nature and as such has developed proven methods of dealing with constructability issues in challenging ground conditions. Having a versatile approach allows Leigh to apply his knowledge to ensure best of project solutions are adopted. 

 

Leigh enjoys spending time with his family, loving the outdoors and watching NRL and Cricket. Up the Bulldogs!

Charlie Maitland

Senior Civil Engineer

Charlie’s expertise ranges from small structural projects, though to detailed design and delivery of large residential subdivisions. Charlie has been involved and lead engineering teams for both private and public sector projects, including the delivery of the Aura City Centre project in Caloundra.

Charlie specialises in detailed civil design, stormwater drainage quality and quantity modelling, and construction delivery.

With over 8 years’ experience in the industry, Charlie enjoys mentoring junior staff and providing practical guidance to engineering problems and designs.

In his spare time, Charlie enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, and making music.

Chase Kempe

Principal Civil Designer / Governance & Assurance Lead

Chase has a passion for innovation and collaboration and is motivated to provide quality, value and transparent development of digital design solutions for all project stakeholders and team members.

With twenty years’ experience in the industry, Chase has been involved and lead design teams for public and private projects including Defence, small to master planned subdivision, commercial/industrial developments., roadworks/bridges and municipal infrastructure and sporting facilities. Responsible for design delivery and managerial tasks, working group leads, implementation and change management and assistant PM and CA roles.

Chase is a Sunny Coast local that appreciates time and adventures with his family. In his role Chase enjoys the broad range of projects, collaboration and the challenges they bring in the civil engineering design field. Continual learning and finding creativity and innovation in a rigid environment using digital tools are also parts of the roles Chase enjoys.
