Hartecs Group was engaged to conduct a comprehensive investigation of the Fitzroy Street Sewage Pump Station (SPS) Wet Well in support of infrastructure maintenance and renewal planning.
The investigation involved a detailed assessment of the wet well structure, mechanical components, and operational capacity. The purpose was to identify any issues related to deterioration, hydraulic performance, or safety hazards. Hartecs’ findings have been used to inform maintenance schedules and guide future upgrade works to extend the asset’s lifespan and improve operational resilience.
The objective of the condition assessment of the pump station concrete wet well structure was to consolidate, review and present site investigatory findings, including factual laboratory reporting.
Package consisted of investigating and assessing the Sewer Pump Station (SPS) number 2 located at Fitzroy Street, Rockhampton. Fitzroy River Water manages and maintains the pump station which is a business unit of Rockhampton Regional Council who ordered the condition assessment.
This included a desktop review of existing information provided by the client and an assessment of the wet well which comprised two key elements;
- An onsite visual condition assessment, and
- An intrusive core sampling of the wet well
