Water & Waste Capital Program
Infrastructure Delivery

Whitsunday Regional Council required a Project Manager to deliver concurrent projects within Council’s Whitsunday Water Capital Program.  Involvement was from inception through to finalisation, whilst also providing support as part of Project Management Team delivering major projects that seek to transform the way Council meets its service obligations to the Whitsunday community.

Critical projects with immediate delivery consist of :

Cell 6 Kelsey Creek Landfill—Construction of Cell 6 at Kelsey Creek landfill, including the integration of Cell 5 and leachate collection infrastructure

Kelsey Creek-Capping Cell 1-4—Delivery of the final clay (or approved alternative material) capping of the legacy landfill cells at Bowen.  This includes sourcing of the material and potential licenses to extract if no viable source is within proximity to the site.  This will be delivered in conjunction with the Bowen landfill—legacy landfill cell capping.

Bowen Landfill Leachate Spillway Rectification and Cell 1C Liner Repairs

Bowen Landfill Culvert, Leachate Storage and Pumping Upgrades—Leachate pumping upgrade, supply and installation of Aquatec pump stations to resolve leachate leaking issue reported by Landfill contractor.  Minor fill required to where leachate is daylighting.
