Hartecs role throughout these projects was to develop, implement, monitor and review the surveillance plan through the facilitation of the contract administration team and the contractors, this included verification of the works being delivered, ensure appropriate records were kept, reporting project progress and expenditures.
The work included under this Contract comprised the design, procurement, construction, commissioning, documentation and operator training for the following items:
- Oxidation / Powdered Activated Carbon (PAC) Contact Tank and associated pipework, valves, platform and stairs.
- New / upgraded chemical systems and associated works.
- Filter refurbishment.
- WTP automation upgrades.
- Removal of small shed, fencing and other items to clear site for Contact Tank.
- Removal of equipment made redundant by the upgrades.
The scope of services to be provided by the Superintendent and the Superintendents Representative is as follows:
Act as the Superintendent in accordance with the provisions of the Modified 2124 Contract and oversee the necessary functions including supervision, administration, surveillance, and liaison to ensure efficient delivery of the Works consistent with the requirements of the construction Contract.
