Bruce Highway Safety Works — Bororen to Tannum Sands

This project involved reconstruction of a 12km section of the Bruce Highway including formation widening, six intersection upgrades, overtaking lane construction, barrier installation, road lighting and extensive drainage upgrades. Existing soil conditions were poor and required extensive subgrade replacement.

The scope of services provided by Hartecs Group was as follows

– Provide a full Contract Administration team consisting of an administrator, administrators representative, site engineer and inspectors. This included co-ordination of DTMR safety, environmental, materials testing and electrical specialists.

– Preparation of and adherence to a detailed site specific Contract Management and Surveillance Plan.

– Act as the Administrator in accordance with the provisions of the Transport Infrastructure Contract and carry out necessary functions including supervision, administration, surveillance, auditing and liaison to ensure efficient delivery of the Works.

– Undertake project management related tasks including completion of monthly reports, providing information such as cost estimates, accurate financial tracking, programming, gathering quality, safety and environmental data from the construction contract and keeping the Principal’s Representative’s Delegate and Project Manager well informed of site events
