Hartecs Group was engaged to support the restoration of damaged infrastructure along key sections of the Dawson and Burnett Highways.
The project focused on the restoration of flood-affected pavement and drainage assets as part of the 13A Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA) works.
In January 2013, Queensland was hit by Tropical Cyclone Oswald, resulting in significant flooding.
The works specifically involves restoration of damage cause by the 13A flooding event on the Dawson and Burnett Highways. The main construction activities include in-situ stabilization works, plant-mixed stabilized pavement, bituminous surfacing and repairs to existing drainage structures including rock and grouted rock protection.
